The brief
We were asked to take over a project at Hansler Road that had been left unfinished. The house had not been delivered back to the clients at the high standard they had paid for and expected, and a family with children was still waiting for the home they had planned.
The challenge
Picking up someone else's unfinished work is never simple. There was an extensive snagging list, and every item on it had to be found, fixed and signed off properly before the house could be called finished.
What we did
Working with District Architects, we completed and finalised the full snagging list and brought the finishes up to the standard the clients expected, with modern details and natural materials throughout. Then we went beyond the original scope: a full refurbishment of the front garden, and new fencing to the rear.
The finish
A home that is visually appealing, with modern details and natural finishes, set off by the timber-shingle clad rear extension. It was certainly a challenge, but a very rewarding one: giving this family and their children the home they desired.
